Nominee *must be a resident of Alberta (Minimum of two years)
This Award will honor Aboriginal women who have brought positive changes to their communities
and are an inspiration to others. Nomination categories are listed on the next page. The first 20
COMPLETE nominations received will be recognized.
NOMINATION REQUIREMENTS:
Each nomination should include three letters of support. One from either a community association,
Band, or Settlement and two others.
Recipients are invited to attend the Gala ceremony in Edmonton. IAAW provides two tickets to attend the Gala ceremony held in Edmonton and the recipient decides who they would like to accompany them to the Awards.
Additional tickets are available at a cost of $175/ticket, and IAAW will hold the remaining 8 tickets at the recipients table open until April 1. Please inform the IAAW office if you will be requiring additional tickets, as soon as possible.
A confirmation will be sent to the nominator and recipient prior to the gala with additional information on the event.
This event may be televised and will be used to promote the organization and future events.

- A photo of the nominee must be included (not returnable). Photocopied or faxed copy will NOT be accepted. Scheduled photographs will be arranged where possible.
- Each nomination should specify in which category the woman is being nominated. IAAW reserves the right to change categories.
- The nominator is to describe the nominee in 125 words or less. A summarized version will appear in the program and other promotional material.
